At the present time, we are looking for a caring, nurturing Evening Nurse Manager LPN to oversee a staff of resident care aides. medication aides and nurses in the busy Wellness/Resident Services Department of our luxury Assisted Living Communities in Suffolk and Nassau County Bristals covering the 3pm-11pm shift.   We are looking for someone with strong management skills who can handle emergency situations with tact and professionalism under minimal supervision.

Acting as the Evening Shift Manager in the absence of the Wellness Director and Administrative staff, you will provide Residents assistance with ADLs, administration of their medications while supervising staff, handling emergencies and interacting with families visiting the community during evening hours.

Adhering to instructions of the Resident Services Director, you will perform your duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, while providing care services with kindness and compassion to the Residents. This is a hands-on position requiring occasional participation in assisting Residents with ADLs to ensure their safety and comfort needs are met.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Staff supervisory and medication oversight experience preferably in an Assisted Living, Nursing Home or similar environment.
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ staff supervisory experience in a geriatric setting
  • Strong management and supervisory skills
  • An active LPN certification with the capability of providing excellence in the quality of life of to our residents
  • Experience with Dementia and/or Alzheimer’s patients preferred
  • Must be caring, reliable, ethical and observant with an understanding of MARs and doctors’ orders
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong problem solving skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask under pressure.
