Assist in marketing various communities by: maintaining media schedules, print ad campaigns and display advertising; updating website content and online listings; handling local sponsorships and journal advertising; helping to develop and implement marketing and advertising campaigns. This position will be located in our Corporate Headquaters in Bohemia, NY.


  • Assist VP of Sales and Marketing and Marketing Director in coordinating various integrated communication and marketing activities.
  • Maintain media schedules, organize insertion orders, and generate purchase orders, and ensure that daily deadlines are met.
  • Research new media and help to plan for new campaigns.
  • Proof display ads and marketing material for spelling, grammar, content, and proper brand usage.
  • Work with agency, properties and outside companies to create and deliver journal ads and other necessary materials for sponsorships or events.
  • Generate and submit check requests as needed for sponsorships.
  • Keep all web listings current and accurate.
  • Regularly update community galleries on the website by sizing and posting photos as well as writing copy for posts.
  • Manage brand reputation. Monitor review sites and social media; organize and implement appropriate replies.
  • Format and post testimonials on the website.
  • Submit all marketing invoices for payment & handle billing inquiries.
  • Assist with public relations efforts as needed.
  • Attend meetings with ad agency, sales department and ownership as needed. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.


  • Ability to operate under solid pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or something related (PR, Communication, Advertising or Business Administration)
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills; basic knowledge of Photoshop, Wordpress and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented and effective at managing time and schedules.
  • Effective project management and job trafficking skills.
  • Sound understanding of marketing and advertising principles, and the latest technologies as they apply to the industry.
  • Possess strong language skills including proper grammar and usage, proofreading and copywriting capabilities.
  • Plan decisions and practice good judgment.
  • Build excellent working relationships to attain goals.
  • Work collaboratively and efficaciously as a team member.
  • Be self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative.
  • Effectively communicate and make best use of interpersonal skills.
  • Should be able to deliver creative and innovative thoughts.
  • Communicate excellently with all kinds of people both verbally and in writing.
